AWS Solution Architect

Location: Brookfield, WI

Rate: $90/hr. max

Note:

· This is a very senior role, of a technology leader who is responsible to lead the architects in the team. Person must have very good technical and leadership skills.

· On the technical side, strong experience as full stack solutions architect with AWS. Must have experience in architecting native AWS solutions and experience in serverless computing (lambda).

· On the leadership side, must have experience in leading highly skilled technical teams. Proven experience in delivering complex cloud applications.

· Overall experience level should be 20 years, with minimum of 5 years as AWS solutions architect.

Who are we looking for?

A Cloud and DevOps Architect and Engineer with a background in full stack development, enterprise application integration, and scientific computing. Has extensive experience designing and building highly available and scalable solutions in AWS and automating software delivery by designing and building CI/CD Pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Chef/Ansible, Docker/Kubernetes, and Agile Methods. Readily learns and masters new concepts and technologies, is self-motivated, and greatly enjoys the opportunity to work with new people.

Technical Skills:

· Lead on several projects to understand customer environments, culture, and infrastructure and make recommendations for areas of improvement.

· Architected and developed multiple end to end pipelines to support deployment from check-in to production.

· Automated the configuration and deployment of security products in AWS within a pipeline.

· Architected and Implemented Multi-Account AWS Cost/Resource monitoring.

· Building AWS infrastructure with: AWS Infrastructure Scripting (CloudFormation, Terraform, Troposphere, Boto3, Ruby SDK).

· AWS Core Services (S3, IAM, VPC, EC2, Auto-Scaling Groups, ELB, CloudWatch, Parameter Store, Systems Manager, KMS, Secrets Manager).

· AWS Code* Services (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy).

· AWS Serverless Services (Lambda, API Gateway, SAM).

· AWS Security Services (AWS Config, GuardDuty).

· AWS Service Catalog.

· AWS Container Services (AWS ECS, EKS, ECR).

Hands-on working experience on Layer APIM Gateway policy development/deployment.

Hands on expertise on Cloud technology, especially AWS.

Working hands on experience of architecture definition with customers on Cloud solutions.

Hands-on expertise on Java, J2EE, XML, JMS, Oracle/SQL knowledge, Linux/Solaris, Build Tools, Application Server, Unix scripts, Maven or Ant.

Desired - Agile/Scrum methodology.

Should be very good in communication, expressive, collaborate with distributed team on design/requirements.

Experience with SOA technology design and implementation experience to address distributed service requirements.

Integration experience with any Enterprise Service Bus and WEB API gateway.

Understand business requirements and come up with architectural/design recommendations.

Application extensions and middleware experience.

Expertise in UML modeling using modeling tools.

Experience with SoapUI or similar web service testing tools.

Experience with SOA principles, design patterns, application integration architectures.

Experience with building, configuring and deploying services on containers such as web logic and other application servers.

Clear understanding of Web services approach including Web service protocols such as SOAP and REST.

Hands on coding experience & deployment on Linux/Unix based.

Process Skills:

· Hands on experience with technical project management AWS Architect certification.

Behavioral Skills:

· Excellent verbal and written communication.

· Excellent organization and time management skills.

Qualification:

· BE (Computer Science)
