Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: - Minimum 2 years of experience required. - Level 1 Trauma experience required. - Experience required in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping. - Preferred experience in Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN. License: - Not required. Certifications: - National Certs required: CBSPD and/or HSPA. Must-Have: - First-timers are not accepted. - Candidates must float within scope to meet facility needs. - Candidates may be required to float or be permanently switched to alternative locations. Description: The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for ensuring the effective sterilization and processing of surgical instruments. This role involves decontaminating, assembling, and wrapping medical instruments. Experience working in high-pressure environments is essential. The technician will ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Candidates should have experience with various types of surgical cases. Additional duties may include monitoring sterilization cycles and maintaining documentation related to processes. This position is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency in surgical services. Compliance with all department policies and procedures is required. Candidates should be prepared to participate in ongoing training and development.
